When will I receive my order?
Orders are normally shipped on the day we receive your order (if before 3pm),
or the next working day. For UK deliveries we use Royal Mail and for overseas
deliveries we use surface or air mail through Royal Mail.
Many of the books are supplied direct from the author or very small publishers. This can cause problems if they are ill or on holiday, for example. An important part of this website is to give these “cottage industries” an outlet increasingly denied them by the corporate bookselling world. Please allow 21 days for delivery although in most cases you can expect 48 hours.
Do you offer a tracking facility?
We do not offer tracking of deliveries, but we will tell you when it
has been despatched. if you have not received your order
within 21 days of placing it, please contact us by email at orders@thelocalbookshop.co.uk and
we will take appropriate action to ensure you receive the product.
