The Local Book Shop is an independent, community-based bookshop in Midsomer Norton, between Bristol and Bath. Customers can browse six rooms filled with books, from contemporary paperbacks to vintage hardbacks to children’s stories. We also have an entire room dedicated to comic books and are dog friendly, so there is something for everyone. 

 
Nearly all our books and comics have been pre-loved, however our dedicated team handpick every item for sale so we can make sure our shelves are filled with good quality books.  

 
By purchasing from us; you can help us in our mission to save books – we rescue books through our British Book Rescue project, we then rehome as many books as we can by finding them new owners, and if they have been overly loved and are no longer fit for purpose, we recycle them responsibly by pulping them so they can be reincarnated into paper for something new.
